Истинно так. Стандартная практика, особенно при переводе -- но это ладно бы.
Вчера же мне пришлось иллюстрировать ребёнку, что "на побережье" есть орфографическая норма, а "на побережьи" -- отклонение, опираясь именно на статистику яндекса.
